Screenings Can Save Lives

We are recognized as a Lung Cancer Screening Center of Excellence for our ongoing commitment to responsible, high-quality screening practices. Detecting lung cancer in the early stages may save your life.

You should be screened if you:

  • Are between the ages of 55 and 77
  • Have no signs of lung cancer
  • Have a tobacco smoking history (30 pack years)

Are a current smoker or have quit smoking in the last 15 yearsIf you meet the above criteria to be screened, you should speak to your Primary Care Provider today. If you would like to be seen by one of our Primary Care Providers, please call 863.284.5000.

What is a lung cancer screening?

The screening process consists of a low-dose CT scan that is fast, pain-free, and non-invasive. It also is covered by most insurance plans and takes less than 15 minutes.

If your results show non-malignant or non-cancerous findings, your Primary Care Provider may refer you to a Pulmonologist for surveillance. If your results show a nodule, you could be referred to one of our Medical Oncologists at Hollis Cancer Center. The Medical Oncologist may schedule additional tests to help them set up a personalized care plan just for you.
