Lakeland Regional Health and Nemours Children’s Health System have joined together to benefit the mothers of Polk County and the surrounding communities through the creation of The Center for Fetal Care (CFC).

Located in the Carol Jenkins Barnett Pavilion for Women and Children, the Center for Fetal Care is led by Maternal-Fetal Medicine physicians who provide specialized evaluation and consultation for expectant moms who are more likely to develop problems during pregnancy. By working hand-in-hand with referring obstetricians, certified nurse midwives, or primary care physicians, our expertly trained CFC team can help mothers with a high-risk pregnancy or other underlying condition achieve the best possible outcome for both mother and baby.

The Center for Fetal Care offers advanced technology and testing to assist in diagnosing underlying conditions associated with pregnancy and fetal development. Also, a genetic counselor is available to those parents who might need help understanding a diagnosis with a pregnancy or guidance for future pregnancies.
