How many exam rooms will be at the Kathleen Campus location?
We will have 52 state-of-the-art patient exam rooms: 24 downstairs and 28 upstairs. For certain procedures and treatments, we will have four designated procedure rooms onsite as well.
What kind of care is offered at Kathleen?
You will experience our award-winning care that we have offered to our community for over 100 years! Our physicians at Kathleen Campus will be working directly with our talented Graduate Medical Education Family Medicine residents to provide you with advanced care for your entire family.
We also offer primary care for your routine health needs, and specialty care such as neurology, pulmonology, urology, infectious disease, and endocrinology.
Will I meet any residents during my appointment at Kathleen?
Yes, you may! We are thrilled that our new location will house 8 of our Family Medicine residents. Graduate Medical Education Residents have earned their medical degrees and are completing their post-graduate training in the best facilities around the country to learn innovative, advanced practices to provide patients with the safest, most up-to-date care.
At our new Kathleen Campus, our residents and instructing physicians apply a team approach while training in our clinical setting and learning in our 2 onsite classrooms to hone their skills and become expert leaders in their fields. Our residents collaborate with instructing physicians to provide direct care to you, our patients!
Will a resident provide me with care during my appointment?
Residents have earned their medical degree and are training in a specialty. During your appointment and if you choose, you may be given the chance to meet a resident who can provide direct care to you in collaboration with an instructing physician. This seamless method of collaboration ensures you receive the most advanced, individualized care.
During your appointment, our medical assistants will perform vitals and takes you to our comfortable exams rooms to review and obtain all important information such as medication, PHQ9, surgical history and more. Then our resident will meet directly with you and review all medical information provided by the medical assistant to develop an individualized treatment plan for your unique health needs. This treatment plan will be reviewed immediately by their instructing physician, known as a preceptor. Once the preceptor has reviewed and approved the treatment plan, both preceptor and resident will meet with you before you leave.
Can I get Urgent Care here?
Not quite yet, but soon! We are pleased to announce that we will be offering Urgent Care in 2024! Urgent Care offers you fast, reliable care for non-emergent needs.
How does billing work at Kathleen Campus?
We are dedicated to ensuring you have a seamless patient experience, and that includes a billing. Our Family Medicine practice will see and care for patients with insurance, underinsured, and those who have no coverage.
Family Medicine billing will function the same as Morrell Internal Medicine. Will accept unfunded patients who have been recently discharged from our Medical Center. Our Financial Counselor will work directly with you to see if they may qualify for Medicaid, Polk HealthCare Plan, or Charity Care.
