If you are planning treatment at the Medical Center, it is important to become familiar with the details of your own insurance coverage before receiving care. While the hospital works with your insurance company regarding payment, it does not have access to your individual plan coverage. Ask your insurance company about the following:
- Prior authorization
- Assignment of Care (Inpatient, Observation, Outpatient Surgery, etc.)
- Non-covered services
- Deductibles
- Co-pays
- Referrals
- Preferred providers
- Payment limits
If your care or procedure is scheduled to occur at the Medical Center, you will receive a phone call from a Lakeland Regional Health team member to verify your insurance, discuss your expected out-of-pocket cost for the procedure (your individual plan coverage determines your personal expense), and make financial arrangements for those expected out-of-pocket costs (if any).
To Schedule Your Test or Procedure
