Trauma
Surgery

Some patients require emergency surgery following an event such as a fall or accident.

As the only Trauma Center in the area, Lakeland Regional Health Medical Center has trauma surgeons and an operating suite available around-the-clock to perform lifesaving surgeries for those who need it.

Trauma surgeons are board certified in surgery as well as critical care medicine. They are specially trained to surgically treat conditions such as brain or spinal cord injuries, internal organ damage, compound fractures, and more. Trauma surgeons also provide 24-hour care for trauma patients in the intensive care unit.
