Some hernias — especially recurrent or very large hernias — require advanced techniques. I work closely with a multidisciplinary team to perform abdominal wall reconstruction, which may involve mesh removal, component separation, and restoring strength to the abdominal muscles. Many of these surgeries can still be done robotically with small incisions to minimize wound complications and downtime. Patients are often referred to me from across Florida for these challenging cases.
