Get Active Walking Challenge

Did you know you can meet physical activity recommendations for better health by walking briskly for 30 minutes a day, at least 5 days a week?

Physical activity such as walking can help improve health even without weight loss. People who are physically active live longer and have a lower risk for heart disease, stroke, type 2 diabetes, depression, and some cancers. (CDC)

Join the 6-week 2022 Get Active Walking Challenge.

Free registration opens Wednesday, May 11. Challenge launches Wednesday, June 1.

Looking for motivation? Join fellow walkers Thursdays during the Challenge at 8:00 AM to get your steps in. Walks will start near the bleachers at Lake Hollingsworth.
