Drive-Thru Testing Center

We are pleased to offer COVID-19 testing at our Drive-Thru Testing Center with an appointment. The Testing Center is located on the first level of the D-E Garage at the Lakeland Regional Health Medical Center campus at 1324 Lakeland Hills Blvd in Lakeland. 

— If you are experiencing severe COVID-19 symptoms (shortness of breath/difficulty breathing, chest pain or any other life-threatening condition), please proceed to the Emergency Room or call 9-1-1. 

More Information About Drive Thru Testing 

What type of test is offered?  PCR test 

How long does it take for testing? The test itself typically takes about 15 minutes for check in, registration, and testing.  

Results: 24-48 hours. You will be contacted directly with your results.  

Appointments: Call 863.413.5907, Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. until 4:30 p.m. to schedule an appointment.  

Location:  First floor of the D-E Parking Garage on the LRH Medical Center Campus in North Lakeland – 1324 Lakeland Hills Blvd. 

Cost: Most insurance providers cover the cost of the swab testing for individuals who are symptomatic. For those who are asymptomatic (without symptoms), we offer travel testing for a $100 charge. 

Ages tested: Those 2 years old and older can be tested at the Drive-Thru Testing Center. More details about pediatric testing will be provided when you call to schedule an appointment. 

For children under 2 years old, our Children’s Emergency Department in the Carol Jenkins Barnett Pavilion for Women and Children on the Medical Center Campus offers testing. Children ages 17 years and younger are welcome. A doctor’s testing order is required. Appointments are not necessary. To learn more, please call 863.687.1203. 

Other Testing Opportunities

The Florida Department of Health also offers drive-through COVID-19 testing in Polk County. The sites opened Friday, August 20.

The sites are:

• In Lakeland at the RP Funding Center, 701 W. Lime St.

• In Winter Haven at the Gil Jones Center, 3415 U.S. 17 N.

• Bartow Regional Medical, 2200 Osprey Boulevard, Bartow.

The sites provide Antigen and PCR tests and will be open seven days a week from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. They’re scheduled to run for 30 days. Appointments are not required, but can be made at
