I Am Trying to Get Pregnant

When you choose to start a family, not only is it an exciting and magical time, it also provides a wonderful opportunity to make sure you are as healthy as you can be. Making healthy choices and preparing your body for pregnancy can benefit you and your baby.

See the Doctor

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention recommends having a well visit with your physician to make sure there are no underlying health issues before you become pregnant. If you have any medical conditions, your doctor can discuss those with you and how they may affect a pregnancy. To make an appointment with one of our LRH OB/GYN physicians, call 863.284.6860.

Behavior Choices

If you are thinking of becoming pregnant, certain behaviors or activities can affect your unborn child. If you smoke, use street drugs, drink alcohol, work around chemicals, or take certain medications, it is important that you talk with your doctor about how a pregnancy may be affected.

Exercising and Eating Right

Take the opportunity to get fit and eat healthy so you are in the best shape possible for your pregnancy.
