FSC/LRH Medical Laboratory Sciences Program

Lakeland Regional Health is proud to participate in Florida Southern College’s Bachelor’s degree program in Medical Laboratory Sciences.

The MLS Program is a selective, direct-admit program and the minimum criteria must be met to be considered for admission to the program. Students who apply to Florida Southern College and indicate an interest in pursuing a Medical Laboratory Sciences degree, and who meet the minimum requirements as described on the Florida Southern College website, will be automatically considered for admission once they have been admitted to the College.

All applicants to the MLS program must be enrolled at Florida Southern College with a declared major in Medical Laboratory Science. Florida Southern College is the degree-granting institute.

This four year degree includes experience working in the clinical laboratories of Lakeland Regional Health. Students will begin taking courses at the Lakeland Regional Health Medical Center hospital beginning in their third year, before transitioning into a full time internship at Lakeland Regional Health during their fourth year.
